Developmental Recovery Services is an Alcohol and Drug Counseling Service. DRS provides substance abuse services in the area of assessments, individual counseling, group counseling, information and education, treatment planning development, and referrals to proper sources for additional services. We provide these services to agencies, organizations, private businesses and individuals. DRS believes that the usage of substances is only a symptom of a greater internal cognitive problem. It is our philosophy that the major problem of substances use is rooted in distorted thinking.

We believe that the patient/client must be confronted with past and present realities in an incremental process through information and self inventory. We believe the twelve steps must be the foundation of recovery and that each individual recovers at a different rate therefore each person must be allowed to find that niche that keeps them sober on a daily basis and practice it with open mindedness. We believe that this niche can consist of many areas of service work and the practice of spiritual principles. This may include but not limited to attending NA, AA meetings, developing a relationship with a sponsor, establishing a network with other recovering addicts and can also consist of daily prayer, meditation, the practice of spiritual principals, recovery community service, and religious practices.
